Version info:
- Initial release of the new DNA-ATi xp drivers.
- DNA-ATi 10.8.1 (10.8 catalyst | 1st DNA build).
- ATI CrossFireX™ Application Profiles (10.8 – August 25th)
- ReadyDriverPlus v1.2 (can be found in the “\Packages\Apps\DNA-ATi-RDP\” folder in the download package).
What’s new:
- DNA-ATi xp. Windows XP is still supported for those who are in need.
- DNA-ATi open CCC. The “Catalyst Control Center” will be fully open. In short, if a function/setting is supported by your card and it has an CCC option that is normally grayed-out or not visible at all with the DNA settings they will be available and open for use with your graphics card’s supported functions.
- No ATI settings are touched, only DNA settings are added to enhance your card’s stability, speed and options.
- DNA-ATi Tweaks: The tweaks are redone completely(as usual) less is more is the new direction. Only settings that are needed will be added. Besides that I have split the CCC tweaks from the DirectX/3D and OpenGL(soon to redo) to make updating future releases more easy as well from my side.
Whats next:
- OpenGL specific tweaks, at the moment i can’t think of a good OpenGL driven game any suggestions are welcome. Doom4 is the best i can think of for the moment..
Support:
- Just leave a comment and ill try to reply as soon as I can.
64bit operating systems
64bit operating systems don’t allow modded drivers to be installed by default. To ensure the drivers will install on your systems please use ReadyDriverPlus or boot with: “F8 -> Disable Driver Signature Enforcement” on each boot! This will ensure you can use the drivers. If these steps are not followed the drivers will fail to work.

Hi, thanks for making these drivers btw but I have an issue.
Your old drivers (10.7a) worked fine for my Radeon HD 3200 Mobility, but these new ones don’t. Perhaps the ID is wrong?
If I remember correctly, my mobility needed a certain string in the device id section.
Perhaps I can copy/paste my device id from a legit mobility package and put it in the 2 inf files for my driver?
Nope that didn’t work, I had to manually install CCC and the drivers on Win7 x64
Hi there, I’m running Win7 X64 myself and it works perfectly (Sapphire Toxic 5870 2GB). Did you boot with F8 and selected to not enforce “Driver Signature Enforcement” or did you use ReadyDriverPlus v1.2 to automate this?
All the support of the DNA-ATi 10.7a.1 drivers are in the DNA-ATi 10.8.1 drivers as well so if your card worked with the 10.7a.1 it should work with the 10.8.1 as well.
Did you use the DNA-ATI installer to Uninstall the previous drivers and after the reboot install the DNA-ATi drivers with the same batch script?
Well this was before I even installed the driver so I didn’t know I had to do the F8 driver enforce thing.
Anyway, I manually installed ur driver via device manager, I installed legit CCC, and then I installed your Catalyst App Profiles thing. All works fine atm but idk why it didnt work.
I didn’t use the DNA installer to uninstall my previous drivers however cuz when it does it, it removes my other AMD/ATI drivers I think (like my northbrige filter). I uninstalled my graphics drivers and CCC beforehand though via CIM and rebooted.
Also did you know you could go into msconfig > Boot > Boot Advanced Options > and check the Debug tab and it will load your driver on startup for me without the need for F8. I get no signature warnings or anything, so I believe it might do the same as the Enforcement program?
Plus ReadyDriverPlus might not work for me since I installed/boot Win7 via UEFI boot (its a different boot style)
That “MSCONFIG” doesn’t work. Only manually using the F8 boot menu does, or automating it with ReadyDriverPlus v1.2.
If you don’t use any of the two above Win x64 will load the default “signed” driver and not the DNA-ATi drivers
Boot style shouldn’t matter as ReadyDriverPlus loads the same way as dual boot just follow the instructions on-screen that ReadyDriverPlus shows you on install.
EDIT:
Indeed the CCC could fail to install as i haven’t changed it yet(working on it) So with the next DNA-ATi set the CCC should install with any card/added 3rd party support.
hey killersneak nice to see you back on track!
I’ve been searching the internet for Negative Lod Bias for ati driver but it seems there is no option for it on CCC and only way to change it is with Ati Tray tool.
it seems ati driver set Negative Lod Bias to allow but there is no option to change it to clamp like nvidia drivers read here:
http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=256312
but i was thinking that if you could add this option to CCC it would be better.it seems to be ati tray tool slows games.
I’ll install DNA-ATi 10.8.1 now.
I can set/tweak a “negative LOD bias” but it won’t do much good? Why would you want such an option? There’s no clamping for ATI (or at least not the nVidia way)
it can not be added to the CCC sorry, so if this option is wanted i need to write a new driver / separate driver file for that.
I think next time in the download you should put readydriverplus so they will not have the problem about the F8
I’m fan of killersneak because his driver make me enjoy many game , and very happy with that so i will try this after i finish from my university
Could someone try the method I listed to load unverified drivers? It works fine for me but idk how it would work for others.
msconfig > Boot > Boot Advanced Options > and check the Debug tab > Reboot (don’t do F8)
won’t this option slow computer down?
I don’t notice a slowdown with this method, but I’m using UEFI still which is near instant-boot
i just run CMD as administrator and type this:
bcdedit -set loadoptions \”DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS
it always works for me
No idea just use normally boot
The driver work great with world in conflict , and starcraft 2 but i didn’t try to play the dirt 2 the most problem yet
ReadyDriverPlus v1.2 will only slow the boot process down with 3 to 5 seconds nothing big to be honest.
man this is my first time to try the DNA driver and my system got fucked , i tried 3 methods to install ur driver on my
windows 7 home 64bit
i hav an ATI 4650 GDDR3 on my laptop
i got 3 BSODs concerning “atikmag.sys” dont knw why
i hav went through ur .batch file
selected 1 to uninstall
then restarted then 2 to install ,
and on the boot i selected to force unsigned drivers
+ the laptop started to heat more
and on the boot i selected to force unsigned drivers
selected 1 to uninstall
and on the boot i selected to force unsigned drivers
then restarted then 2 to install ,
and on the boot i selected to force unsigned drivers.
ok wht is the meaning of this reply?
Is that the sequence you followed?. The DNA-ATi 10.8.2′s are ready and the install system has been altered (more simple i hope)
I’m now working on the DNA-NA-ATi Legacy 10.2.1 (Vista/Win7)
again i will explain
i hav a DV6-1370EV
i hav ATI mobility 4650 GDDR3
my OS is win 7 home 64bit
1-i went first to your driver and extracted it ,
2- went to the batch file and ran it and chose the uninstall option
3- i made it restart after it told me to do ,
4- the driver was completly deleted so i went back to the DNA driver again and chose this time from the batch file to install the driver to test if its going to be possible to do without forcing
unfortunatly after it finished and asked for restart i did , a BSOD just poped saying
error with atikmag.sys
5- i turned off and on again , went to windows and the driver wasnt installed so i went again made the batch file delete everything and i restarted and enabled forcing unsigned drivers
then done step 1&2
6- restarted another couple of BSODs , and i was fedup so i went to the original 10.8
and installed it but windows refused to install it saying i hav the latest driver even though i already removed ur driver
+ the laptop started to heat up more ,
7- i tried everything from 10.4 til 10.8 nothin installed my driver ,
8- i went and downloaded 10.3 which had the March device update , and installed it and my system went back to normal
Again it’s real easy as i can ready you’re doing it wrong
1. Boot F8 and selected to force unsigned drivers
2. selected 1 to uninstall all currently installed drivers
3.Re-Boot F8 and selected to force unsigned drivers
4. Restarted then select 2 to install
5.Every Re-Boot F8 and selected to force unsigned drivers
Or install ReadyDriverPlus to automate this process each boot
hey killersneak aren’t you gonna add avatars to site ?
Nice ! Finally managed to register, no idea why i could not register earlier…
Anyway, keep up the good work, waiting for the legacy set as well
I’m re-working all drivers this weekend.
Registrations were turned off because we are customizing it.
You should be able to login @ http://cell-systems.net / http://donotargue.com / http://delailao.com / http://lowcostpics.com and http://online-source.net with your same username and password now.
Working on them now (DNA-ATi Legacy 10.2.1 – vista/win7)
Hi,thanks for the good drivers.
I have ati mobility radeon HD4530.
and windows XP.
I used to edit CX****.INI file to install and it worked.(this is how to : http://forum.notebookreview.com/hp-compaq-voodoo-pc/364215-ati-mobility-radeon-hd-4530-driver-xp.html)
But latest new drivers seem little different.
And unable to install.
I tried manual installation. but cannot copy ati2*.* files while installation.
It stopping there.
ReadyDriverPlus in DNA-ATi 10.8.1.32.xp retuns ‘This program requires Windows NT version 6.0.6000 or later’.
ReadyDriverPlus is only needed for 64bit Operating Systems.
32bit Operating Systems will install the drivers without the need of tool as they allow unsigned drivers (unlike 64bit Operating Systems)
Since I can’t “PM” you when will us Nvidias get our drivers ;D?
Hi KS
Well I was going to ask you if the Hotfix 10.8b would be integrated into the current DNA but, Never-mind. *facepalm* LOL
