   Just to let you know. I ran the batch file, and used option 1 to uninstall, and my system got FUBARed…

   It was so bad i had could only enter safe mode, in normal mode, my system just got stuck on the “Starting Windows” screen and the hard disk was trashing and then the fan went crazy… I kept trying with the same result… and finally i was wondering if it would load I left it there with the harddisk spinning and the fan whirling for 1/2 an hour… and my fan died… on next boot my laptop could not start. I had to dismantle it and check the fan and finally got it working again.

   I had to do a reinstall of Windows 7. On a side note after reinstall the installation of the drivers went fine (I just used option 2 to install… I didn’t dare to hit option 1…)

   PS: I’m not trying to flame you or anything, My old nick was Dark Adam and i’ve been using your drivers for many many years. This is the first time such a problem occured…

   My system is a laptop Win 7 x64 Ultimate, and a mobility x1400.

   The uninstall will only uninstall ATI drivers/Software no way he will touch non ATIi related software/drivers (if this is the case with you as you always seem to have problems for the time you have been using DNA,i suggest not using any modded drivers for you…?)

   Shouldn’t be a problem, you can uninstall it and update it with a new version but if it works it works.

   I have the feeling you have used other cleaning programs and or modded drivers before the DNA-ATi drivers. The cleaners that come with some of them or the ugly cleaning utility @ Guru3D (got to love the retard Gilbert) that messes up your Registry (the author of the program even admits he doesn’t know wtf he’s cleaning “read it @ the forums”) In that case i can not fix your system anymore.

   Seems allot of Guru3D visitors that come here have problems makes me wonder…..

   Nope, no other modded drivers, your is basically the only set which supports Legacy and has been for some time now. As mentioned, the last set i uninstalled from was yours.

   And nope, no special driver cleaning util either, not since i swtiched to win 7, since yours were the only drivers i installed And no i have not visited Guru3D for years either, and i don’t even have an account there.

   The only cleaning program i ever use is ccleaner.
